Good field of 26 for tonight's Dale Lowe Signs Summer series split into four grades with B grade the biggest.
A Grade was dominated again with three riders getting away in different combinations over the 40 minutes, finally coming down to Darren Lapthorne and Brendan Schultz well clear of the rest for a two up sprint won narrowly by Darren. Martin Banfield was half a lap back in third. Chris Landvogt stretched the strong B grade field by staying away for a good part of it and still had enough left in the tank to take the win by the smallest of margins from Steve Rooney with Jason Finch not far away in third. The C grade bunch stayed together for the entire journey despite a few breakaway attempts. Try Rider Adam Nicholson was first over the line but ineligible so Duane Cousins moved into first ahead of Markcus Brown and Jenny Geyer. It was a similar story in D with the whole field lining up for the sprint, won convincingly by Haley Walker from Greg Chapman and Phil Brown. The final Summer Series is on Sunday at Emu Creek with the aggregate still up for grabs.
The first round of the Cantina Bendigo series next Wednesday night will start at 6:30 (not 6:00 as previously announced) to avoid some of the early evening traffic issues.
