Jo Stolz and Jarrod Moroni were away for most of the early part of the A grade race but after they were brought back, Martin Banfield and Darren Lapthorne returned the favour in spades and rode away to win comfortably with Martin pipping Darren by a narrow margin and Jarrod Moroni leading the others home for third. B Grade was solid all the way through. Ric McIntosh got away for a few laps but was brought back when the others go their act together. Dave Hogan won the bunch kick from Ric McIntosh and Phil Bone. Several attempts to get away in C Grade failed to eventuate. Neil Andrews tried his luck with a lap to go, to no avail, and Jason Finch took the honours comfortably from Paul Dynon and Neil in third. The D Graders hung together for the duration, Carl Louchard taking the win with Paul Stuckenschmidt in second on the comeback trail and Gary Johnstone in third
