47km Club Handicap - Woodstock

It was another great field for the 47km Club Handicap at Woodstock.The fifty-four riders who had entered, realised that the conditions were less than ideal. with strong cross winds, and an unexpectedly high temperature.The bunches ,with the exception of Limit, had at least six riders. Scratch conceded, 2m, 4m, 6m, 8m, 11m, 14m, 18m, and 25 minutes to Limit.

45km Club Handicap - Newbridge

The Forty-five Km. Club Handicap at Newbridge was the last of the Sunday events, again, proving how popular they were, there was a great entry of fifty-four riders. The course headed out towards Laanecoorie, then cut back down the Maldon Road to Newbridge, then completed another lap of the circuit. to finish at Newbridge. The Handicapper divided the Field into ten groups, with Scratch conceding between one and twenty-four minutes.

52km PHILIP J EDDY Handicap - Emu Creek

The Philip J Eddy 52km. Feature Race at Emu Creek is accepted as one of the most "Trying" races on the Calendar, and together with temperatures in the low thirties, it was going to be a trial of strength for the field of fifty-seven riders. The course headed out along Storey's Road, turning left towards Sutton Grange, swinging left into the wind at Axe Creek Road, then up Exchange Hill, to complete the circuit again. The handicapper divided the field into nine bunches, with Scratch conceding between four and twenty-nine minutes, all bunches had at least seven riders, with the exception of Limit, with lone rider Ricky Mitchell, doing battle on his own.

Criteriums - Mayfair Park

There were over forty entries for the Mayfair Park Criteriums, which, considering the contingent of members gone to the Tour Down Under, was excellent.The field was divided into four grades, with A and B grades cycling for thirty minutes, plus three laps, and C and D grades cycling for twenty minutes, plus three laps. C and D grades had fewer ricers, but the competition was just as fierce.

35km Graded Scratch Races - Woodstock

The Central Victorian Veteran's Cycling Club eased back into the racing season after the Christmas break with a series of graded scratch races on Sunday morning around the 35 Km Power’s Road/Newbridge circuit at Woodstock. The forty-five riders were split into five divisions ranging from six in A grade up to 13 in B grade.
