50km KEL WADDINGTON Handicap - Castlemaine

The thirty-three riders who had entered for the Kel Waddington Handicap at Castlemaine, were most likely expecting to have a hard ride, they were not to be disappointed. The Handicapper had his work cut-out, with withdrawals, just before the race started, however, with a bit of judicious juggling, the race started.

56km Club Handicap - Harcourt

The fifty-two riders who had entered the Club's 56Km. Handicap at Harcourt, were told it was not the easiest of courses. They realised this was true, when confronted with eight climbs, ranging from 3.1% to 6.8% inclines.The course headed South towards Elphinstone, swinging back North to Sutton Grange, along to North Harcourt, back to the Calder Highway, then the downhill finish to Harcourt. The Handicapper divided the Field into eight bunches, with four bunches having the benefit of eight or more riders. Scratch conceded between 4 and 35minutes.

45km "BOLTON'S OFFICE NATIONAL" Handicap - Newbridge

The forty-nine riders who entered the "Bolton's Office National" 45km Handicap at Newbridge, were faced with a cold and windy conditions, for the two lap circuit. The course headed South to Laanecoorie, three kilometres of dog-legs to the Maldon road, back to Newbridge, then the same for the second lap. The Handicapper divided the field into eight bunches, with Scratch conceding between two and eighteen minutes.

65km OPPY Handicap - Rochester

The weather was excellent for the running of the 2012 " Oppy" 65km Handicap at Rochester. The race is in memory of Sir Hubert Opperman, one of the greatest Australian cyclists ever. He broke many records, including the Land's End to John O'Groats, the 24hour record, when he rode 745.6 kilometres.
